We’re here to help you become a better business.
For us, being a better business goes beyond your commercial success.
It’s about being a business that will be admired in the future because it’s a business that has done the right things. A business that understands what’s good for people, for society and what’s
good for the planet.
Shed was founded by Graham Hales with the help of some friends. Graham is the ex CEO of two award-winning international consultancies, Interbrand and big fish.
Shed has no full time employees and no expensive business overheads. We operate a community-based approach where we select people from the Shed network with the right experience and expertise for the task. We are a very effective buyer of resource and will usually be charging around 25% of the fees of a 'top consultancy' for people who have all worked at 'top consultancies' and know their processes and shady tricks.
Every member of Shed is aligned to our values and our mission and work with Shed because it's a passion. Most importantly they are usually friends who enjoy working with each other. Team make-up is agreed with clients within proposals.
We favour the brave and encourage the extraordinary
It's easy to be overwhelmed, but we remain optimistic and progressive. Plus, we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Optimism is great, but it needs to be grounded in pragmatism and realism.
We recognise ourselves as a work-in-progress. We all have more to learn and need to commit to progress.
Our motivation is to help our clients do the right thing to help society and the planet; not to increase our personal wealth.
We're done with all that branding bollocks. We say what we actually think and always communicate openly and honestly.
At Shed, we focus on the consequential stuff. The stuff that makes a difference. We’re not interested in hyperbole, rhetoric or bullshit. We don’t do vanity. We do extraordinary. We want to make your business remarkable.
The world is full of dissatisfaction, disillusion and disappointment. Why do so many brands accept this and perpetuate it? Our times maybe challenging, but these challenges present us with opportunities to show our values, our empathy and our compassion so we can declare how we want our world to be.
Our Consulting offer is broad but can span;
Our Essentials Workshop keeps it simple. It enables start-ups or businesses that need to sprint to fast-track their strategy essentials at entry level prices.
Every business has a culture, but few are actively managing it. It’s a key reason why people choose to come to work, why they stay, why they may leave and what they’ll say to others about your company.
Great cultures need to be managed so they’re preserved. Poor cultures need to be managed so they change. Cultural management takes considered interventions so the brand can role model how it wants to behave, act and deliver its products and services. Making culture behavioural makes it tangible. The culture becomes ‘how we do things’, becoming ‘your way of doing business’, rather than something fluffy that avoids definition.
We can work with groups or individuals to create purpose and fulfilment to their lives. The people that work for a business need to connect to the brand of the business. Leaders are our role models and their behaviours are examined closely. These behaviours need to be cognisant of the organisation's ambitions and desired reputation. As Spider-Man put it so neatly, 'with great power, comes great responsibility'! Coaching can be aligned to our Consulting and Culture work or a separate exercise based on personal desired outcomes and development. Our personal coaching site is available at www.grahamhalescoaching.com
At Shed, we offer a fair exchange pricing structure with three levels;
This structure is aimed to find a way to work with the organisations we want to work with. We are happy to have an open conversation to discuss a fee structure that will work for you.
